Hydrogen line observation is often considered an "introductory" experiment to the field of radio astronomy.

Using Welch's method to estimate the power spectral density (PSD), we can make take the average of these to get a smooth signal. A higher number means a smoother signal that downplays interference, but takes longer, meaning it will skip over some points in space. (Rec. 900, 200 ≤ x ≤ 1500)
